I'm also so excited to get my smile somewhat back to 'normal' again. We were able to schedule my bracket removal surgery at my follow up today, so next week I will get my lovely brackets removed. From there I will work with an amazing cosmetic dentist here in Provo to restore & replace my lost & broken teeth. (If you look closely at some of my pics you can see the gap in my teeth where I lost some, ha! ;) - I just figured I may as well not try to hide it & just be me, and this is me right now, this is what I look like!) In the meantime I am focusing on trying to open my mouth wider. Ideally the doctor said I need to be able to get three fingers turned upright stacked on each other into my mouth, and right now I can barely get in two (which still causes me pain). He said if I can't get it there on my own, than he will have to force it open for me, which I do not even want to think about, so I have been working on it all day since! I also still don't have much feeling in my bottom lip and the bottom right side of my face& check, but hopefully those nerves where I suffered the trauma will heal, and I'll get feeling back. I'm sure everything will be fine, it will just take time.
I'm looking forward to the weekend, and a fun family date night we have planned!
