Our weather here in Utah this Winter has been completely (for lack of a better term) bi-polar! It has been gorgeous for weeks, getting up into the 60's during the day with average lows around the mid 40's. Everyone thought for sure Spring was coming early this year, but just when it seemed like there were purely clear, sunny days on the horizon-boom-FREEZING cold blizzard. Let's just say I did not think it was fun, and upon being forced to bundle up for the first time in weeks, I opted for a cheerful floral & pastel look. :)
I am absolutely in LOVE with the color lavender for Spring! But it's still a bit too early here to bust out the wedges and white jeans, so rather than wait till then to wear this top, I paired it with leopard heels, this cognac faux leather blazer, and a white bag. I plan to start incorporating all my Spring tops into my outfits this same way: with neutral Winter colors as a balance to keep from looking too 'Springy' just yet. ha! :)
I am super excited for Spring Provo Fashion Week! I will not be out of town this time, so I am looking forward to attending the shows! It really is such a treat for me that the amazing coordinators, designers, and models have come together to give our Utah Valley a taste of the Fashion world.
If you don't live in Utah or won't be able to make it to Spring Provo Fashion Week, this is your chance to still get a taste of what you'll be missing. 5 lucky winners will each get one of the pieces pictured above, custom made just for them! So LUCKY!!!!
Be sure to follow me on Instagram to complete your entry! GOOD LUCK!!! :)
One of the absolute best wardrobe pieces you can get yourself is a faux fur vest, or two or three. It's the perfect piece for layering over a sweater when it's colder outside, and over a top as it warms up a bit, and even over a winter dress. It adds an instant dose of luxe to the simplest of outfits. I wore a longer one over all black, with boots for a long day of travel over the weekend, and it was the perfect comfy cozy outfit. Now is the best time to start looking to purchase for next year, because there are so many on sale! I have linked several of my high & low faves for you below. :)
I am always on the hunt for modest dresses that are also comfy and easy to wear at the same time. I was initially drawn to the pattern of this dress; I loved the red & blush color combo in this unique aztec/tribal print, but after receiving it and putting it on, I am even more in LOVE!
Not only is the fabric ultra soft and the colors so pretty, this dress is also the perfect midi length, and though it is knit, the cut creates the ideal silhouette so the dress is not too tight looking. So, if you're looking for that perfect (modest) dress, check out Lularoe by Liz! :)
